Flavor Paper

I always appreciate objects with a bit of humor in them. This Flavor Paper wallpaper looks like a traditional floral wallpaper at a quick glance.

If you look closer, you can see security cameras in the flowers.  While I wouldn't put it in a house, I can think of a couple places to use it where it would be appropriate.

Rugby Meets Fromental

This window is a strange mix of classic American clothing crossed with modern British wallpaper with a southern twist.

I love the wallpaper they have knocked off for this window display, I'm not sure it goes with the moss/hay on the ground and the Nantucket meets the Hamptons vibe the clothing and furniture in the window gives off but I definitely give them credit for putting the tree in there.  I'm thinking the branches attached to the ceiling and hanging down give it a Spanish moss sort of feel.

I have been in love with this Fromental wallpaper for AGES.  I used to go look at it whenever I needed to visit the Webster showroom for work.  It never had a name or a price so it took a while for me to figure out what it was but I do still love it even if I assume that the only way I'm getting some of this wallpaper is to paint it myself.

Dupenny

This vintage-inspired wallpaper from Dupenny is adorable and would look amazing in a powder room or dressing room. There are a few different styles; burlesque, 50s housewife {shown below}, and splash! but I really love the 1920s glamour paper.

Rapture And Wright

Rapture and Wright is a great line of fabrics and wallpapers that is graphic but in a soft sort of way {I don't know exactly how to describe it but that is the word that comes to mind}.  They are all hand printed and can be made with custom colors which is helpful.  Sometimes it's so disappointing to have a fabric you love not available in the colors you need.

Aimee Wilder Wallpaper

Aimee Wilder was one of the booths I would have stopped at if it hadn't been super busy {I get a photo of the whole booth, but you can see it here if you wish}.  I snapped a photo of the wing and the name so I would remember to check it out more.

She has a great line of graphic wallpaper patterns.

Fluttering Wall Covering

Catherine Hammerton is a London-based textile designer. I took this picture of Catherine Hammerton's new line of wall covering at the ICFF, I think it would be great in a small entryway as it has a great texture that is best appreciated in a small area with a lot of light.

The wall covering is hand cut pieces of paper, shaped as leaves and stitched to a backing. The paper below is from her new line but you can see the previous ginkgo wall covering on her website, she has an online shop as well. What I really love about her designs is that they are produced by a cooperative offering training to local people with mental health issues, she uses FSC certified papers, reclaimed and vintage materials, and vegetable based inks.


This means it is good for the environment and the community.

Madison & Grow

Some of my favorite new products at the ICFF were in the Madison & Grow booth. They produce fabrics and wallcoverings in Los Angleles.

I love how the designs are relatively simple and the more complex patterns are so fabulous they aren't really overpowering. I have to admit, I have always cringed when asked to pull wallcoverings for work. The paper ones, although beautiful, have a sort of smell to them that is a bit like formaldehyde. These papers are made with water based ink and have no VOCs which make them even better in my mind. The photos I took don't do them justice so be sure to visit their site if you want to see more.
