Design Destination: Garden Edition

I passed by this daylily and hosta garden the other week on an ice cream expedition to Great Brook Farm.  I was so excited to finally figure out what to get for my mother for Mother's Day {she has everything she needs so it's hard to get her something, I swear}.

I'm much more of a fluffy flower kind of person, peonies, spider mums and the like, but looking over the field of daylilies, I thought it was so beautiful.  You can pick the pre-potted flowers or walk through the field and point to what you want and they dig it up on the spot for you.

There were butterflies everywhere.
