Colorful Mannequin

I came across this colorful mannequin recently and had to grab a photo. I usually find them to be creepy {see the spear-necked mannequin to each side} or just boring.  Perhaps since this is actually a dress-form, and a Pantone inspired one at that, I really like it.  I think it wouldn't work for displaying clothes as well as the others.

The butterflies in the background can be found in this post.

  1. I like it. Why do you (sometimes) find it creepy?

    1. Some mannequin faces are creepy and then some place has strange blue ones with no heads I think {it's slightly possible I'm making that one up}.

  2. Ok, I would really like to put in a petition to have a room in my home solely dedicated to this butterfly display...

  3. Oh yeah mannequins are totally creepy. Have you ever watched Doctor Who? In one episode, they come alive and start killing people. No thanks!

    1. I've only seen the really old Dr. Who shows but I can totally picture that happening.

  4. The Pantone chips totally make that dress form cool but it would defeat the purpose to top it with clothing. I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds mannequins creepy.

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! Ours was Chinese style with soy sauce chicken and stewed mushrooms with abalone made by my grandfather. I agree with you that Panda and Hedgehog could've done w/o a few of the middle episodes. It got a little makjang for me but I liked it overall - actually even better than A Gentleman's Dignity which I did enjoy but I just never cared for the characters. The cold openings were the best part of that show. I have a few friends who are watching Miss Rose. At least it's light. I've not heard of Live in Style. Can you believe I haven't watched any dramas since Panda and Hedgehog. Well there was that week I couldn't watch anything if I wanted. See I can even joke about it now :p We just watched an episode of Running Man (variety show) that Lee Seung Gi and Park Shin Hye were on. It was so hilarious my sides hurt afterwards :)

Proenza Schouler makes gorgeous clothing! I covet a PS1 bag too!
